Get In Touch Frequent Questions FAQ - General Session Info. General 01 IS THERE A DEPOSIT TO BOOK? Yes. A non-refundable reservation fee of at least $150 is required to hold your date. This goes toward your total session cost. If we reschedule, the fee transfers. Though pricing may be subject to change. 02 DO YOU CHARGE FOR TRAVEL? Yes. For sessions outside of Willmar, Minnesota, I charge $0.72.5 cents per mile round trip. 03 DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS? Yes. I’m happy to create a custom plan that fits your budget. A minimum of $150 is required to reserve your session date. 04 WHEN WILL I GET MY SNEAK PEEKS? You’ll receive sneak peeks within 1 to 2 weeks of your session or less. 05 WHAT IF SOMEONE IS SICK OR SOMETHING COMES UP? No worries at all. If you're not feeling well or something unexpected comes up, we can reschedule. Just make sure your deposit has been paid and we’ll find a new date. 06 WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER DOESN’T COOPERATE? I keep a close eye on the forecast. If there’s a storm or unsafe conditions, we’ll reschedule as long as your deposit is paid. That said, don’t be afraid of a little rain. If you're open to it, light rain can be really fun and magical. Think of those movies where a couple or family is out in the rain...beautiful right?! I’m fully prepared with weather-sealed gear and waterproof equipment. 07 WHAT IF I FEEL AWKWARD OR UNSURE DURING THE SESSION? Totally normal. You don’t need to know how to pose or perform. Just show up as you are. I’ll gently guide you leading up to your session where we have a 1:1 phone call to discuss fears and come up with a game plan. I will send you my session guide with helpful tips on how to prepare mentally and physically. During your session I allow space when needed for those real moments to unfold naturally rather than demanding constant eye contact with my camera. 08 WILL MY PHOTOS BE RETOUCHED? I embrace real skin and natural beauty. But once you choose your favorite images from the proofing gallery, you are welcome to request edits like skin and hair touch-ups, background cleanup, face swaps, and more! Whatever feels right for you and makes you fall MORE in love with your photos. 09 WHAT IF WE GO OVER THE ONE HOUR SESSION TIME? If we go past the 1 hour mark, there’s a $150 overtime fee. For sessions with kids, I typically wrap things up within 20-45 minutes, just matching their energy. I offer breaks if needed when young children are involved. I also know kids are unpredictable and if the session needs to be longer due to your chidlren's wants and needs, I am understanding. FAQ - Wedding Info. Wedding Faqs 01 WHAT’S REQUIRED TO BOOK OUR WEDDING DATE WITH YOU? A non-refundable reservation fee of $1,000 (or $600 minimum) is required to hold your wedding date. This fee is due at the time of booking or during our first consultation. This locks in your date and guarantees the time listed in our signed contract. If your wedding is postponed, the fee can be applied to a new date, but original pricing is not guaranteed. No dates are reserved without a paid reservation fee. 02 DO YOUR PACKAGES INCLUDE AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION? Some packages include a complimentary engagement session. If not, you can add one for $500. These sessions are a great way for us to connect and get you comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding. I also offer complimentary bridal boudoir sessions as another option. 03 DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM PAYMENT PLANS? Yes. All wedding packages include custom payment plans to make things more manageable. 04 DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS OR ELOPEMENTS? Absolutely. If you’re planning a wedding outside the Midwest or at one of my bucket list locations, you may be eligible for a special travel discount. 05 HOW MANY WEDDING PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE? Most couples receive between 500 and 1,500+ edited images depending on your coverage. I don’t withhold your memories. You’ll always receive all the photos and only choose and download what matters most to you, your family, and friends most. 06 WHEN WILL WE GET OUR SNEAK PEEKS AND FULL GALLERY? Sneak peeks are delivered within one week. You will receive up to 100 images. I offer add-ons for "same day" or "next day" previews too. Your full gallery is delivered within three months, with curated batches of images sent every 1 to 2 weeks. 07 WHAT TIME DO YOU ARRIVE ON THE WEDDING DAY? I typically arrive 30 minutes early to scout locations and get set up. This time is not counted toward your contracted hours. 08 CAN WE REQUEST SPECIFIC PHOTOS OR MOMENTS? Of course! Let me know what matters most to you, whether it’s quiet time with your partner, special family photos, or anything in between. 09 DO YOU WORK WITH A SECOND SHOOTER? Some packages include a second shooter. If yours does, I’ll hand-pick someone I trust and I will edit all images they capture. But over time, I realized that the kind of care I wanted to offer came in a different form. Through creativity and art. It reflects my journey and the things I’ve learned about self-love, confidence, and what beauty really means. Growing up, I struggled with severe acne, and now I live with inflammatory rosacea. It’s part of me and my story, and honestly, part of how people recognize me. If I edited that out of photos, I wouldn’t look like myself. That’s why I feel so strongly about embracing realness in my work. I want to normalize real skin, already perfect imperfections, and anything else society often tells us to hide or keep to ourselves. When I first started photographing people, I was surprised by how many would ask me to change something about themselves. “Can you slim me down?” “Can you remove my stretch marks?” “Can you make my skin flawless?” And while I can do those things, that’s not my mission. I don’t want people to feel like they need to be retouched into something unrecognizable. I want them to feel confident as they are in their own skin and in the present moment.
